Just about every roof seems to have a penetration, be it a vent pipe or a skylight. We have flashed many different sized penetrations and can offer guidance when involved in a complex project. The RANZ Roofing Code offers guidance on standard details. Iconic Cladding installs Adlux trafficable skylights with associated flashings to ensure the roof does not leak and the skylights are safe.
Membrane
Roofing
Iconic Cladding offers a comprehensive roofing package which can include membrane roofing. The most common of which are Butyl, a budget membrane, glued to a ply substrate with a lapped tape join. TPO, a superior product, is also glued to the substrate but then heat welded at the laps with direct localised heat. It offers potentially greater durability and a more built proof system if installed well.
Translucent
Roofing & Wall Cladding
There are two main profiled translucent ranges, polycarbonate and fibreglass. Polycarbonate is generally used on domestic properties, being thin and highly translucent but limited in length due to the high thermal coefficient, i.e. it expands and contracts much more than steel roofs. Fiberglass (GRP) profiled roofing contains fibres within the resin, which makes the product less translucent but more stable. Generally GRP is thicker and available in long lengths which suits commercial installation.
